Helping neurodivergent adults and parents go from overwhelm and burnout to greater understanding, self-compassion and change
Counsellor / Coach / Neurodivergence and wellbeing specialist
About me
Hi, I'm Silja Turville, a BACP-accredited counsellor and executive coach.
I support individuals navigating trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression, burnout, and the many challenges life can bring. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming, creating a space where you can feel understood, build self-awareness, and make meaningful changes that feel sustainable and authentic to who you are.
Before becoming a counsellor, I founded four businesses and built a career in finance. This experience gave me first-hand insight into the pressures of leadership, entrepreneurship and professional life, as well as the impact that stress, overwhelm and burnout can have on our wellbeing, relationships and sense of self.
Alongside counselling, I work as an executive coach, supporting founders, leaders and professionals at every stage of their careers. Whether you are navigating transition, seeking greater confidence, managing workplace challenges or exploring what success means to you, I help you move forward with clarity, purpose and resilience while staying connected to what matters most.
My goal is simple: to help you thrive, both personally and professionally, in a way that honours your values, strengths and individuality.
What I offer
-
Coaching
If you’re looking to grow your business, progress in your career, or achieve your goals without burning out along the way, I can support you.
My coaching takes a holistic approach, focusing on sustainable personal and professional growth. Together, we’ll explore not only practical steps forward but also any psychological blocks that may be holding you back, so you can move towards your goals while protecting your wellbeing.
-
Counselling
I offer counselling in a way that feels right for you, creating a safe and supportive space to explore both the big and small challenges you may be facing in your life. My aim is to support you in feeling encouraged and to help you build greater self-compassion, confidence, and resilience as we work together.
I specialise in trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment difficulties, and I practice in a neurodivergent-affirming way.
“There is no timestamp….Be patient. Take up space. Let your journey be the balm.”
Your questions, answered

Coaching is future-focused, helping you set goals, achieve specific targets, and develop new skills.
Counselling is centred on emotional healing and mental wellbeing, exploring current challenges as well as past experiences that may still affect you today.
Because I am trained in both coaching and counselling, I can integrate these approaches where helpful. In coaching sessions, this means I can also support you in understanding why certain challenges feel so difficult and bring a focus on wellbeing into conversations about your future.
-
I have trained in several major schools of therapy so I can draw on the approaches that best support each client. My training includes cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centred therapy.

The length of our work together depends on your goals. Coaching is usually for a set number of sessions, tailored to the specific outcomes you want to achieve.
Counselling often works best longer term, especially when healing from trauma or attachment difficulties, which can take a year or more. At the same time, shorter-term counselling (around 10–12 sessions) can also be helpful if you’re looking for support to stabilise after a particularly challenging time.
